Product Description

15MIC 20MIC Polyester 5Mic Pre Painted Steel Sheet T12754 DX51D ZLFQ

1. Product Overview

Pre painted steel coil is used where a zinc coated steel substrate and a finished color surface are both required in one material. This product is suitable for roofing sheets, wall cladding, façade panels, appliance panels, and general fabricated sheet parts where appearance, corrosion resistance, and forming compatibility need to be considered together.

This specification is built around DX51D+Z and LFQ processing logic under GB T 12754, JIS G3312, and EN 10169 related routes. The product range covers 0.18-1.20mm thickness and 700-1250mm width, which fits common roll forming and panel processing lines.

2. Technical Solution

The product uses a metallic zinc coating as the base corrosion barrier and an organic paint system as the visible surface layer. In practical use, service performance depends on the combined effect of zinc coating weight, primer support, top coat thickness, back coat build, forming route, and installation environment.

The top side uses 15-20 micron polyester with 5 micron primer. The back side uses 5-7 micron or 7-8 micron polyester with 5 micron primer. This coating structure is suitable for standard exterior panel fabrication where roll forming, transport handling, and outdoor exposure all need to be considered together.

The product can also be supplied in commercial quality or lock forming quality. LFQ is more suitable when the sheet needs tighter bends, deeper profiles, or more stable forming behavior during panel production.

4. Application

  • This material is suitable for roof panels, wall cladding, steel structure buildings, workshops, airports, and storeroom panels.
  • It can also be used in vehicle manufacturing, furniture related sheet parts, electric industry sheet components, and general exterior or interior fabrication where a pre finished visible surface is preferred over post-paint processing.
  • For building use, the final result depends not only on the coating structure but also on profile design, overlap detail, drainage condition, and actual exposure environment.

5. Processing

  • The coil can be supplied for cut to length processing, slitting, roll forming, profiling, and general sheet metal fabrication.
  • It is suitable for standard coated panel production where surface handling is controlled during storage, cutting, and installation.
  • When the painted face will remain visible after installation, protective film can be selected to reduce scratching during transport and fabrication.

6. Advantages

  • The 40-275g/m2 zinc coating range allows the product to be matched to different corrosion environments instead of using one fixed coating level for all projects.
  • The 15-20 micron polyester top coat with 5 micron primer provides a defined paint structure for standard exterior panel use.
  • The 0.18-1.20mm thickness range supports both lighter sheet conversion and more rigid roofing or cladding profiles.
  • LFQ availability improves forming suitability for deeper profiles and tighter bend routes.
  • The 700-1250mm width range matches common roll forming and panel production lines.

7. How to Choose

  • Choose a lower zinc coating level for lighter service conditions and a higher zinc coating level when the environment is more demanding.
  • Choose polyester for standard projects, SMP for better weather resistance, and PVDF when longer finish retention and stronger UV resistance are more important.
  • Choose thinner gauges when easier forming and lighter panel weight are required. Choose thicker gauges when the panel needs more rigidity.
  • Choose LFQ when the sheet will be used for tighter bends, deeper profiles, or more demanding forming routes.
  • Choose protective film when the painted surface will be exposed to repeated handling before installation.

8. FAQ

Q1. What does LFQ mean in this product
LFQ means lock forming quality. It is more suitable for profiling and forming routes that require better bend performance and more stable shape control.

Q2. What is the zinc coating range
The listed zinc coating range is 40-275g/m2.

Q3. What is the top side coating structure
The top side uses 15-20 micron polyester plus 5 micron primer.

Q4. What paint systems are available
The listed paint systems are polyester, SMP, and PVDF.

Q5. Can this product be used for roofing and wall cladding
Yes. It is suitable for roofing sheets, wall cladding panels, and related building sheet applications when the coating level, paint system, forming route, and installation details are matched to the service condition.
